Agility Field Guidelines

The Dog Alliance agility field features 10,500 sq.ft of fully fenced artificial turf designed specifically for use with dog sports. The chain link fencing is 5 ft. high and the entire field is contained within a secondary 5 ft. fence that surrounds the property. All equipment is AKC regulation sized. The agility field is available for specific hours each week for practicing skills learned in your class. This service is FREE for students.   Please check with your instructor to determine the open field times as they vary by season.

  • No pinch, chock or shock collars can be worn on our field.
  • Any dog which, in the opinion of The Dog Alliance, is uncontrollable, unpredictable, aggressive, or in any way a danger to people will be denied access or asked to leave.
  • You may design and set your own course. However, do not try to move contact obstacles by yourself, although one person may adjust the A-frame height if necessary. If you make changes, please return the course to its original format for the next person.
  • If running a full course, only one dog at a time is allowed. 2 or 3 dogs may run at once if there are well-separated areas for individual drills, all dogs are under tight control, and all handlers on the field agree to this arrangement.
  • The jumps and tire should be set at a height appropriate to your dog and his/her abilities. Jump bars are designed to break away easily. Do not alter the jumps or attempt to bypass this feature.
  • Do not take your dog on equipment you have not been instructed on. It only takes once for your dog to fall, slip or perform incorrectly to lose their confidence for a very long time. Don’t risk it.
  • No continuous barking, due to close proximity to neighbors and classes that may be in session.
  • Please pick up after your dog, both inside and outside the field. Do not allow your dog to eliminate on the equipment, the fence or the artificial grass. If an accident occurs, please spray the area with disinfectant.
  • Humans are not allowed on the agility equipment.
  • Anyone under the age of 13 must have a parent or responsible adult in attendance at all times.
  • Please check in at the office prior to use.

The use of the agility field is FREE for current students during open field practice times. Please obtain a schedule from your agility instructor. Hours vary by season.
